Our meetings are open to the Hampshire community. Anyone can drop in and talk to us, and all students are welcome to join as volunteer co-op staff.

This weeks food: The Taste Thai Cuisine

Mixed Nuts Cooperative is a student run, volunteer-based collective located in the Roos-Rohde House that aims to provide healthy, socially conscious, affordable, tasty food to the Hampshire College community, including students, faculty, staff, families, neighbors, alumni, and the occasional groundhog. Our shelves are also often home to hand-crafted art and other goods made right here in our community!

We are a collective that operates by making all of our decisions based on consensus in order to include the most voices. We strive to educate the larger Hampshire community and ourselves about food sources, who we are as a cooperative, and what it takes to run a small business.

We intentionally source our products from vendors we support, including local businesses, other cooperatives, and fair trade organizations. It's our goal to promote equality, respect, honesty, and responsibility within the context of food systems and cooperatives. Mixed Nuts Co-op also seeks to build relationships with outside cooperatives and other organizations. We especially support Mutual Aid efforts in our community, and all efforts to fight food insecurity.
