Feb 6: Denice Frohman and student Marissa Perez: Live Poetry event at the Academy of Music
Description: Hampshire College's own Marissa Perez will be performing a live poetry reading with renowned poet Denice Frohman at the Academy of Music Theatre on February 6, 7:00. Tickets are free and the 35-minute performance will be viewed virtually. Perez, a current Div II student, became the 97th recipient of the Glascock Prize for Poetry last year.
Denice Frohman's work has appeared in The New York Times, Nepantla: An Anthology for Queer Poets of Color, ESPNW, and LatiNext. She has performed from the White House to The Apollo.
Supporting the work of artists of color becomes more and more vital every day. A great chance to see a fellow student in action and a revered radical poet.
