On Friday September 21st, Lyle Broughton will present Building a Chain Reaction Machine as an Educational Tool for the Kern Center.
Lyle Broughton built a chain reaction (Rube Goldberg) machine that demonstrates how the Kern Center fulfills the requirements of the 7 Petals of the Living Building Challenge. He is a Division II student with an interest in film and video, particularly video editing and post-production. He is especially known for his chain reaction machines, and hopes that building them will be his full-time job in the future.
Fantastic Friday is a weekly seminar where either faculty, student(s), a class, or a visiting lecturer gives a presentation/talk about their research or other academic project. As the name implies, this takes place Fridays, from noon until 1pm, in Cole Science Rm 333. Lunch is always provided; for this presentation, the food will be pizza (vegan and GF options will be available).
