Students who love comics! Students who make comics! Students who want to make comics at Hampshire and beyond! Join us for the second annual Making Comics After Hampshire Alumni Talk, featuring Robyn-Brooke Smith (F'11)!
Smith will be showing some of her work and talking about her path from doing a comics-centered Division III at Hampshire, to completing an MFA program at the Center for Cartoon Studies in White River Junction, Vermont, and beyond. There will be lots of time for conversation, so come with questions and curiosity!
Pizza will be served, including vegan and gluten free options!
Smith has worked on comics for NECIR (New England Center for Investigative Reporting), Seven Days newspaper, College Humor, and The Nib. Her mini comic "The Saddest Angriest Black Girl in Town" was included in The Comics Journal list "The Best Short Form Comics of 2016" by Rob Clough, and was featured by Whit Taylor on the PEN America website.
