A former faculty member at Hampshire College, now a member of the Russian Department at the University of California Berkeley, Polina Barskova is known as one of the best Russian poets of her generation. Barskova collaborated on the exhibition "Architectural Ghosts" curated by Hampshire Professor of Architectural and Art History, Karen Koehler. Barskova will be discussing her recent publications on the siege of Leningrad, and reading from her own work, and those who lived through the ruination of the city. Open to the public, the presentation will take place in the Rotherwas Room at the Mead Art Museum at Amherst College.
