are delighted to present an afternoon

featuring

Bruce Molsky (fiddle/vocals), Tony Trischka (banjo), and Michael Daves (guitar, vocals)

Open to Hampshire and Five College students, faculty, and staff.

Tony Trischka is one of the most influential and innovative five string banjo players in the bluegrass and roots music world today. For more than 45
years, his stylings, recordings, and concerts have inspired generations of bluegrass and acoustic musicians. Bluegrass guitarist/vocalist Michael Daves grew up playing bluegrass and drifted towards jazz and the outer fringes of rock when he was a student at Hampshire College (F95). Today, he's developed a national reputation in the bluegrass world, performing with a roster of seasoned bluegrass artists, including Steve Martin, Rosanne Cash, and Chris Thile. Bruce Molsky is widely considered to be among the foremost outstanding expontents of old time fiddling in the United States and internationally.
