For over 40 years, the top amusement parks and zoos in North America have made Kaman’s Art Shoppes (KAS)
their first choice to provide the highest quality, most talented specialty artists, photographers, and craftspeople to enhance guest experiences.
At KAS, we pride ourselves on our ability to create specialty art and photography products in highvolume markets, and our success rests in our many comprehensive training programs.
New hires receive training within their departments so that they’re ready to go on day one. KAS also has leadership training programs in place for leads, supervisors and managers.

Below are the job descriptions for the positions we have available with Kaman's Art Shoppes here at Six Flags New England.

Airbrush T-Shirts:

Our Airbrush Artists work directly with the public in storefront or open-air studios, creating fun, colorful, custom-made Airbrush Artwork on tee shirts, license plates and a variety of other items. As an Airbrush Artist for Kaman's Art Shoppes you will:
Build important skills in Customer Service and Salesmanship by working one-on-one with your customers in the studio setting!!
Learn our quick Meet/Greet techniques to successfully approach customers!
Grow your artistic skills with our quick Free-hand & Stenciling techniques to create beautiful Airbrushed images!
Enhance your Airbrush Sales by offering additional custom details!

QUALIFICATIONS:

Good drawing ability is important and required.
Previous airbrush experience is helpful, but not necessary for this position.
Must be outgoing, energetic and willing to learn exciting new skills!
Interested applicants should submit at least three samples of their artwork.
Must be able to airbrush quickly in front of large groups of people.
Applicants must complete an "airbrush audition sketch" at the time of their interview.
Must be available for flexible work schedules, including some evenings, weekends and holidays.
Training is provided for qualified applicants!

Antique Photography:

Not your ordinary family photo! Antique Photographers create beautiful replica sepia-tone Photographs. Our Photographers set their stage in the fun atmosphere of a vintage storefront studio! As an Antique Photographer for Kaman's Art Shoppes you will:
Create keepsake photos for customers of all ages-from toddlers to couples to grandparents!
Build important skills in Customer Service, Craftsmanship and Salesmanship by interacting with customers in the studio setting.
Learn digital photo and printing techniques to create beautiful Antique Photographs!
Master the art of historic costuming, lighting and composition!
Enhance your Photography Sales by offering single, group or children's portraits and Custom Matting & Framing!

QUALIFICATIONS:

Photography skills are helpful, but not necessary for this position.
Training is provided for qualified applicants!
Must be outgoing, energetic and willing to learn exciting new skills!
Must be dependable and available for flexible work schedules, including some evenings, weekends and holidays.

Body Art: (Facepainting and Henna Tattoos)

Facepaint:
Let's face it…there's a little clown in all of us! Our Face Painters use a bit of "theater magic" to transform kids into characters by creating colorful hand-painted images directly on the faces of young Park guests! As a Face Painter for Kaman's Art Shoppes you will:
- Learn our quick-painting and blending techniques to create comical, colorful Face Paint images!- Create colorful images selected from our many available designs!- Build those special Customer Service skills by interacting directly with young customers.- Enhance your Face Paint Artistry and Sales by offering custom images or enhancements including glitter and gem highlights!

Henna Tattoos:
Learn an exotic craft and a centuries-old Body Art tradition! Our Henna Tattoo Artisans actually "draw" with Henna, an all natural paste mixture, to create fascinating Henna Tattoos. As a Henna Tattoo Artisan for Kaman's Art Shoppes you will:
- Grow your skills by learning our quick free-hand Henna application techniques!- Work one-on-one with guests of all ages! Build important skills in Customer Service, Craftsmanship and Salesmanship!- Impress potential customers with your ability to create intricate Henna imagery!- Enhance your Henna Tattoo Sales by offering custom designs, sizes and additional enhancements!

Did you ever wonder what you really
 look like? Our Caricature Artists know just how to bring out your "best features" by creating quirky and colorful Caricature Sketches! As a Caricature Artist for Kaman's Art Shoppes you will:
- Learn our Quick-Sketch techniques to create Caricature Drawings!- Benefit from training and coaching by experienced Caricature Artists!- Build important skills in Customer Service, Craftsmanship and Salesmanship by working one-on-one with your customers in the studio setting!- Learn our quick Meet/Greet and "Demonstration Sketch" techniques to successfully approach potential customers!- Impress customers and showcase your artwork with "Demonstration" Sketches!- Enhance your Caricature Sales by offering optional full-color and full-body sketches. Add finishing touches with Custom Matting & Framing!

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Good drawing ability is important and required.- - Previous caricature drawing experience is helpful, but not necessary
 for this position.- Interested applicants should submit at least three caricature sketches of famous people.- Must be outgoing, energetic and willing to learn exciting new skills!- Must be able to sketch quickly in front of large groups of people.- Must be available for flexible work schedules, including some evenings, weekends and holidays.- Applicants must complete an "audition sketch" at the time of their interview.- Training is provided for qualified applicants!
