Hampshire users: Log in for increased access.

Eagle Eye Institute was founded by Hampshire alum Anthony Sanchez to bring underserved youth into the outdoors. Come find out more about this non-profit organization, and the opportunity to live and intern there this summer.

Eagle Eye info session: Tuesday, January 30th, 12-1, FPH Faculty Lounge, WITH LUNCH!

Eagle Eye Institute is a nonprofit organization empowering people from underserved communities, especially youth of color, to play an active role in caring for our environment. Eagle Eye's summer residential internship is a chance to (re)connect with yourself, others and nature in a beautiful and protected outdoor setting. The Residential Summer Internship takes place at our 200+ acre forest site in the Berkshires, 35 miles west of Amherst. As a Residential Summer Intern, you will live and learn for six weeks at our forest site, which is equipped with tent platforms, solar panels, trail network, fire circle, outdoor kitchen and vegetable gardens. You will gain hands-on experience in land management, sustainable living, gardening, trail building and more. You will assist with summer events and programs on our site and, depending on your interests and goals, you will have the opportunity to design an independent project. This internship opportunity is best suited for those who are prepared for an intensive experience outdoors, are comfortable living in a small community and sharing about themselves, and are open-minded to learning about others. Interns must have their own transportation (or a way to leave site on the weekends) and be physically fit to work outdoors everyday in all weather. For more information and to apply, contact Cass Pastorelle, Program Manager, at cpastorelle@eagleeyei.org. This talk is co-hosted by the Career Options Resource Center and professor Tim Zimmerman
