Soul and Wisdom (Jano Kherad in Farsi) is a documentary that I, Rostam Cole, have been working on during the semester.

The documentary focuses on the life of Ferdowsi, a 10th century medieval writer, and his devotion to the Shahnameh (lit. Book of Kings) a 50,000 verse epic of Iranian mythology and history. There will be a live action fight scene, animatics, and interviews with 5 college faculty.

Oh and did I mention...sweet sweet CEL 1 & 2 credit.

There will be two interesting meetings, one on Monday November 15th at 5:30pm and another on Tuesday November 16th at 5:30pm in FPH 108.

I’m looking for people with a passion for film or digital art, especially if you have experience in these fields (though not required).

During this semester there will be weekly 1½ meetings. In addition, next semester will include pre-visualization shoots, and shoots, and POTENTIALLY re-shoots so please be prepared for that. During the next semester, plan to spend at least 4-5 hours per week for 4-5 weeks working on the project and perhaps more.

I’m looking for artists as well to help me work on the project over winter break, about 1-2 hours a week.

If you are interested but cannot attend the meetings please let me know, I’m more than happy to include you or work something out.

Thank you!
