Global Insecurity II Two-Day Event: Film Screening and Panel Discussion

A Two-Day event organized by the students of the Global Insecurity II Spring 2022 course. The event is co-sponsored by the In/Justice LC and the Security in Context initiative. On Thursday April 14th at 4.30 pm there will be a screening of THE FACILITY, an investigative documentary about immigration detention, followed by a conversation with director Seth Freed Wessler. Seth Wessler is a Hampshire College alum and journalist who has spent his career focusing on exposing abuse at immigration jails. On Friday April 15th at 1pm, Professor Michael Klare will lead a discussion about the Russian invasion of Ukraine and its implications for the US and globally. Professor Klare is a Five College Professor Emeritus of Peace and World Security Studies.
