Compassionate workshop “Situated Knowledge in Action”

Warning message

Hampshire users: Log in for increased access.

Please join us for the Compassionate Knowledge’s upcoming (free lunch!) workshop “Situated Knowledge in Action”, on Wednesday, February 14th, from 11:30-12:50 pm in Hampshire’s Spiritual Life Center (above Greenwich Donut 5).

This workshop will focus on feminist scholar, Donna Haraway’s theory of Situated Knowledge to explore the question of whether institutionalized knowledge production&engagement, steeped in Western, masculine, and capitalist endeavors, can nevertheless, be used for emancipatory ends…of course this is a big question and we will only begin to talk about it.

We are suggesting a reading for the workshop which will help facilitate our discussion which can be found here: https://freerads.org/science-scope-full/

The workshop will be facilitated by current Division II student, Emory Ellis, and the Sciences Alumni Intern, Adam Blaustein Rejto.
