Join us for a night of queer poetry during the Five College Queer Gender and Sexuality Conference, featuring Jayy Dodd and Jasmine Reid.

JASMINE REID
Twice trans poet-child of flowers. She is the author of chapbook Deus Ex Nigrum, (Honeysuckle Press, 2018). A 2018 Poets House Fellow and MFA candidate at Cornell University, her work has been published or is forthcoming in Muzzle Magazine, Apogee, Poetry Daily, Paper Darts, among others. A Pushcart Prize and Best of the Net nominated poet, Jasmine was born and raised in Baltimore, MD, and is currently based in Ithaca, NY. find her at reidjasmine.com

JAYY DODD
the subject known as jayy dodd... aka [redacted] aka Lady Tournament beamed down in Los Angeles ’92 & is now based in Portland,OR.  She’s the author of Mannish Tongues (Platypus Press 2017) & The Black Condition ft. Narcissus (Nightboat 2019). Her film & performance work has been installed & screened across the country from classrooms to museums. She has been a Lambda Literary Fellow & Precipice Art Grant Recipient through Portland’s Institute of Contemporary Art. she the mother of Tournament Haus, a boutique Ballroom house in Portland

The Five College Queer Gender and Sexuality Conference is an annual student-led conference held in the Five Colleges. It was established in 2009. The Queer Conference strives to provide a supportive and accountable space for engaging, learning, and fostering community and dialogue through offering a broad spectrum of workshops, panels, performances, and lectures. The topics center gender and sexuality with intersectional lenses, which consider race, class, disability, religion, mental health, kink, survival strategies, and more.
