Every Body is Invited to join us for the Passover seder--an evening of questioning and story telling, meaning making, singing, feasting, and laughter. If you want to help with the seder, please contact ebSA@Hampshire.edu
Different Drummers: A Musical Celebration of Diversity is an evening of West African music, dance, and celebration of differences. This event features the hard working and talented students of Berkshire Hills Music Academy, a post-secondary school for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities that uses music to develop skills for communication, independent, and employment.
The BHMA African Drumming and World Music Ensembles, directed by Music and Human Service instructor Aidan Owens, have been working hard and are excited to share all of the great African music that they have learned. Come support these great young adults and party with us, West African style! There will be dinner (American and West African favorites), performances, and interactive drumming and dancing.
This event is the culmination of Aidan Owens's Division III (senior thesis) work at Hampshire College, which focuses on West African music and special education.
The Hampshire College Chorus presents a delightfully eclectic Spring concert of music from around the globe, including many student solos and featuring several student groups. Reception following the concert. See you there!!!
